Elaine has gone through a lot this year. Her marriage is falling apart while her business is at stake. Furthermore, she is experiencing strange health conditions. She needs someone to support her. There have been rising troubles since she told George to leave. She is unpredictable, which is making things worse. Her daughter, Linda Carter, can’t survive the atmosphere anymore and wants to sell her share of The Vic. She wants to step away from the business.
Thus, Linda Carter’s mother tries to talk to her about it, but they end up having a heated argument. Linda Carter gets frustrated. Later, she meets George at the cafe. She tells him everything, so her stepfather tries to encourage her to reconsider her decision. Meanwhile, when Elaine sees both of them together, she feels sad and accuses them of teaming up against her. She decides not to take Linda’s help and goes to the bank to get the loan.
Elaine Collapses Again!
However, her plan fails, and she doubts that she will lose the pub in the divorce. She pleads with Johnny to become the silent business partner, but he refuses, so Elaine becomes erratic. She feels tired and has a meltdown. So, she orders the punters to move out. Then Elaine argues with her daughter. However, her health condition worsens, and she collapses. Linda and Johnny feel guilty. Later, Elaine claims it to be a panic attack, explaining that she got overwhelmed.
Linda gets concerned and asks Johnny whether selling her half of the pub is the right thing. However, Johnny thinks Linda should walk away after Elaine and George’s break-up.
