Regular viewers know that Reiss Colwell killed his comatose wife, Debbie, this week. In order to deal with his financial troubles and to find quick fixes, the Walford accountant took some severe steps and turned into a wife killer. However, this storyline didn’t sit well with the viewers and they have been suggesting intriguing narratives of their own.
A Reddit user mentioned how Debbie waking up would make for such a better and more entertaining storyline. EastEnders spoilers suggest that Debbie coming from the dead and creating havoc in Reiss and Sonia’s life could have taken centre stage in the longest-running drama series. Anything is possible in soap verse, Cindy came back from the dead and is now running the Beale show.
Just like that, we might have witnessed Reiss having to choose between Debbie and Sonia if she comes back. With all the baby drama in the midst, Debbie could’ve actually blackmailed Reiss and plotted to take revenge for all that he put her through during her time in the care home after getting to know how he funded Sonia’s IVF with her money.
This actually would’ve made for such a better storyline. However, as of now, Debbie has been smothered by her ex-husband, and the post-mortem will see pillow fibers in her airwaves. This will lead to Sonia being blamed for her partner’s crime, and it will just be a matter of time before Reiss steps up to protect his pregnant girlfriend.
