Davinder ‘Nugget’ Gulati has been going through a period of darkness lately, reveal EastEnders Spoilers. The upcoming week will be a tough one for the whole Gulati family when Nugget collapses on the playground and deals with a life threatening condition.
Long-time viewers of the BBC One soap know that the teen has been using steroids for several weeks after Denzel introduced them to him. Furthermore, the impact of those drugs will affect him badly which will leave his parents concerned, keep scrolling to know what happens next!
The Steroid Abuse Storyline UNFOLDS, Nugget Is Struggling
EastEnders spoilers for the week of July 01-04, 2024, reveal that Walford teens will be prepping for the boxing tournament. We will see Tommy Moon teasing Nugget, who, in retaliation, will fly off the handle at him.
After discovering that the teens are fighting, Zack Hudson and Ravi Gulati will rush to pull them apart. Denzel, for all the right reasons, will be concerned about his best mate and tell him to calm down so that their steroid abuse ordeal doesn’t get revealed.
Despite Denzel’s attempts to hide things, Zack is growing suspicious about his actions. In the coming week, Zack will put a ‘drugs test’ sign as a faux pas, but Denzel will freak out just by looking at it and might not show up for the tournament.
Following this, Nugget will go looking for him but he will fall ill on the way and collapse on the pavement. EE spoilers suggest that Ravi and Avani Nandra-Hart will find Nugget on the floor and call for an ambulance on the spot. After he is discovered collapsed, the family head to the hospital, and Ravi and Priya will be inconsolable.

The worried parents will be concerned about their son as the Doctor reveals that Nugget’s kidneys are not responding properly. He then asks if the teen has been taking drugs, but the family denies it for obvious reasons.
But, Ravi will take the Doctor aside and inform him of Zack’s suspicions about his son being on steroids. It looks like Ravi’s suspicions will gain more weight after Dr. Miller confirms that Nugget was actually taking drugs. This will come as a huge shock to Ravi and Priya while their son remains unconscious.

While the teen is suffering, his parents are devastated that their son’s kidneys are not working, and he might need long-term dialysis. We might see this steroid abuse storyline unfold after Nugget is pressured into revealing his supplier’s name by the police.
