EastEnders Sparks Hope as Zack and Barney Reconnect
Zack Hudson finally catches a glimpse of hope in his complex quest to reconcile with his son, Barney Mitchell. Last month, Teddy Mitchell discovered Nicola’s long-hidden affair with Zack, which led to the birth of her son, Barney, sixteen years ago.
Their oldest son, Harry, was unable to cope with the truth. After losing his temper, he abducted Zack and fled into the forest. Just for a moment, it appeared there was no chance of survival as Zack and Teddy’s automobile plunged into frigid waters amid the confusion.
Teddy was shaken but was later found alive. However, survival did not bring any tranquillity. Barney told him he was not interested in anything to do with him.
Teddy Stands By His Son While Nicola’s Party Creates Havoc
Trying to boost morale, Nicola organised a Half Christmas party. But Harry utilised it to create more chaos. He informed Zack that Barney was willing to have him attend, though it was not the case.
Zack arrived with a sincere present, unaware of the reality. Nicola told him to leave, and Teddy remained mute. Embarrassed, Zack left but told Barney he would never be distant from him if needed.
Teddy and Barney then had an honest conversation at the cafe. He told him that being a good dad is about love, not blood. Then he left Barney alone to decide whether or not he wished to acquaint himself with Zack.
Barney dug in his heels. He already had a dad and did not want that to change. But when he opened Zack’s thoughtful present, bookshop vouchers, something shifted.
