Kat Is Worried About Her Son
Kat was seen struggling with Tommy as she was still worried about his anger issues and the violence it causes. More than herself she was worried about the twins and could not just trust Tommy with them. Somehow both of them were able to resolve all the differences they had.
In a bid to make things better, Alfie and Kat bought him a new gaming console. On which he could continue his conversations with the new and unknown friend. Though both mother and son talked their differences out, Kat was still not very sure about Tommy’s unknown online friend as she worried about his safety.
Later she tried checking the console and asked Alfie for help too. But they were not able to use it, so Alfie suggested Kat should speak directly with Tommy about his mysterious friend.
EastEnders Spoilers: Who Is Tommy’s New Friend?
After the two directly confronted Tommy, he revealed to them – ‘Matt’ his new online friend is an AI chat bot. He further told them that he does not really exist in the real world and showed Kat and Alfie his conversation with Matt.
Further, he confessed that he spoke to an AI chat bot because he was trying to cope up with the loneliness. He also said that he feels like ‘Matt is all he has’. The fact that he felt so lonely, made Kat feel devastated. She tried to comfort him by reminding that everyone is there for him. Whereas Alfie was trying to understand the technology and be more open minded about it.
Now that everyone knows who Tommy’s new friend is, there’s a big question which pops in everyone’s mind – Will this new AI friend, ‘Matt’, turns out to be a good friend or will it cause some major harm?
