Jake posted on Instagram to celebrate exactly 20 years since his explosive first on-screen appearance as the whirlwind of chaos, Max Branning.
Furthermore, the actor warmly called the role the “job of my lifetime” and revealed that he still feels just as excited going to work today as he did two decades ago. Elsewhere, a fascinating magazine interview reminds fans that a special flashforward showed Max planning a wedding before he lands in deep trouble with the law.

Jake captioned the post saying, “It’s hard to believe but today marks 20 years to the day that I first appeared on screen playing the whirlwind of chaos that is Max Branning. It’s been the job of my lifetime and I get just as excited now going into work as I did 20 years ago.”
Adding further he wrote, “There have been many changes over the years but the one thing that hasn’t changed is the quality of the people I get to work with every day, be that in front of or behind the camera. They are collectively without a doubt the best team in TV.”
Diane Parish, who plays Denise Fox on the BBC, also couldn’t resist but congratulate the actor on his achievement. She wrote, “Happy Anniversary my friend. Bringing greatness for 20 years. Big love.” Well, several fans also riled up to show their support with one saying, “Happy 20 years, Jake. Hope you’re on the show for many more years and can’t wait to see what else is in store for your character in the show.”
Another wrote, “20 years ago, an opportunity came to our door and you grabbed it with all that you’ve got and have given it everything ever since.
