Soap fans were surprised to see Zoe Slater’s comeback. She returned after twenty years. The character is known because of a disturbing relationship with Kat Slater. Earlier, she thought that Kat was her sister, but soon everything changed. Soap fans still talk about the you ain’t my mother scene of 2001. It is one of the best moments in the soap’s history. Earlier, the soap fans also saw her running away from Ibiza to escape the murder drama of Den Watts, who got her pregnant but was killed by Chrissie Watts.
Meanwhile, even though Zoe Slater appeared in three episodes this week, she and Kat haven’t shared the screen yet. Zoe Slater said that she doesn’t want to do anything with Kat. Soap fans are concerned for her mental health. She has been staying with Stacey Slater in a flat which is full of empty bottles. She even cooked a story that she had to pay back the money to Spanish gangsters. Zoe wanted money from Alfie Moon and Stacey Slater.
Jessie Wallace Is Emotional!
Elsewhere, the official EastEnders Instagram page shared behind the scenes video of Michelle’s return. The actor, Jessie Wallace, revealed that she got emotional due to Michelle’s comeback. She said that she had missed her as she wasn’t there for twenty years. She also reflected on the iconic scene and Zoe and Kat’s storyline. Jesse cried on meeting the actor as she missed her. She even compared their reunion to a parent meeting their child. Jesse said that Michelle has done great things, but she was glad to see her back on the set. She added that it felt like her daughter was back.
Michelle said that she was a bit dubious if she could remember the lines, but found them easy. She added that it felt like coming home. She said the return happened at the right time as she met Kacy and Kim. Michelle shared that the soap fans still love the character.
