EastEnders Spoilers: Stacey’s Back Home Drunk Ahead of Martin’s Funeral
EastEnders spoilers suggest that Stacey will be back in Walford soon for her beloved Martin. Previously, the two confessed their love for each other moments before Martin died tragically. During the 40th anniversary celebration, he lost his life in the aftermath of an explosion at the Queen Vic. Stacey was deeply affected by the explosion and its aftermath. While preparing for the funeral, she also could not keep a hold on herself.
Further her mother, Jean, suggested she take a leave from all of this and go live with her brother. In the upcoming episodes we will soon see Stacey returning home all drunk. Her daughter, who is already furious at her mother, will try to keep her calm and look after her siblings. Meanwhile Sonia Fowler will try to comfort her and try to help her sober up. At first, she will refuse to attend the funeral. But later she will be at the funeral. What made her heart change? Time will tell.
Lacey Turner Speaks Up About Stacey’s Guilt
EastEnders star Lacey Turner has finally explained why her character is not ready to face it. She said that ‘Stacey isn’t coping with his death; instead, she is destroying herself.’ She added that ‘she is feeling more guilty, rather than grief.’ Turner further said that ‘she thinks she does not deserve to attend the funeral, as she is responsible for his death.’ “I think she feels terrible, but all she wants to do is escape how she’s feeling, so she’s drinking to forget,” Lacey added.
Furthermore, when the soap star was asked if she’ll ever recover from Martin’s death, the actress replied, ‘She does not think that it will ever happen, as the two were very close even when they weren’t together.’ Lacey added that ‘whatever has happened, she needs to learn to live with it, as she has to look for her children.’
It seems that Stacey might need a bit more time to get used to the pain. The upcoming week will be very hard for Stacey as well as the local resident, as everyone is preparing for Martin’s funeral. Speaking of Stacey, she will be devastated, but still there will be some heated confrontations that will catch her attention.
