Larry Lamb Will Share His Personal Collection Of Poetries

Larry is all set to return to the Borders Book Festival for the third time. The actor even considers the five-day event to be definitely in the premiership among the many festivals he has attended. Hence, he will now focus and share a collection of personal poems written over several decades.

Larry began writing poetry in 1983. However, the work got filed away and lost for over thirty years. In fact, he soon reconnected with these verses and was encouraged by a successful poet friend. That’s when the actor began writing once more. For Larry, performing these pieces is a personal experience compared to acting.

Also, one of the actor’s poems has already been successful online. It has, in fact, garnered well over half a million views. Despite the fame, Lamb often jokes that, “You probably come here to see one of the people I played but unfortunately, I’ve got to stand in for them.”

Larry’s Final Stint On EastEnders

Larry played the villainous Archie Mitchell on the BBC soap. In fact, Archie’s death was a major turning point for the show. He died during the show’s 25th anniversary period. Back in 2009, an unknown person attacked Archie on the head with the bust of Queen Victoria. Soon, Archie died from the injuries. But before that he did apologise to his daughter, Ronnie.

For a long time, nobody knew who the killer was. And later, it was revealed that Stacey Slater had killed him. She wanted to take ‘revenge’ for the psychological trauma and sexual assault Archie had inflicted on her. As of now the actor has officially retired from television acting.
