EastEnders ‘ favourite Rita Simons shares a candid look into her health journey. As we know, the actress recently underwent breast reduction surgery. In fact, doctors told her to ‘slow’ down for eight weeks to heal properly.

Rita Ignored The Doctor’s Instruction
Rita Simons shared a series of photos showing how she spends her recovery time. In the images shared, we can see her using a heavy jet washer to clean the outdoor decking. Elsewhere, the actress also climbs up on a garden ladder and works on DIY projects outside.
Rita captioned the post saying, “If anyone knows how to force me to rest, feel free to let me know. I have been told for 8 weeks to slow down and something about those words makes me immediately reach for a jet washer/ladder/paint brush wtf is wrong with me!!?”
Adding further the actress wrote, “Anyway, because I seem physically incapable of sitting still, I’ve managed to slow down my healing and give myself a couple of self-inflicted post-op complications. Nothing terrible. Just annoying. It’s also doing absolutely NADA for the post-op fluid retention I’m dealing with. I REPEAT…all my own fault.”
Several fans also reacted warmly to the post wth one saying, “It’s hard to rest when you are told too. I know that but please look after yourself, girl. Sending you lots of healing love xxx.” Another shared, “Try a jigsae or colousing. It takes my mind off all the other things and focuses me. Also, it’s not physical, so it allowed my body to heal. Spent hours doing them!
Rita’s Final Stint On EastEnders
Rita’s character Roxy reached its climax hours after Ronnie and Jack got married. ROxy was heavily intoxicated and slipped away from the wedding reception.
To go swimming, she jumped into the hotel’s pool. However, she soon suffered a sudden medical emergency and never returned.
Next, we saw Ronnie seeing her sister floating at the bottom of the pool. Hence, she dived to rescue her. But since she was wearing a heavy, wet wedding dress, it dragged her down. The ending showed both sisters drowning together.
