Karen And Jon’s Fun Farewell

Jon Lee, who played Josh Saunders and Karen Henthorn, who played Julie Bates, filmed a funny clip during their final day of filming. The video captures the pair playing rock-paper-scissors while holding flat tortillas. Also, the official BBC soap’s social media account posted the video with a sweet goodbye message.

The caption reads, “And that’s a wrap! Jon and Karen take on the tortilla challenge on their last day on The Square! We’ll miss you! #EastEnders.” And several fans are already demanding Julie’s return with one saying, “PETITION TO BRING BACK JULIE!!!.” Another shared, “Julie!! Why’d you let her go? Can the 3 of em and Clare’s hubby and kid all move to the Square as a new family?”

Elsewhere, a third wrote, “Please bring Karen back. Even if it’s just for the social media videos. She is a rarity of pure joy and warmth.” Someone else commented, “Julie was good as the school teacher living in the Square, offering advice and support. Maybe she could return in that role.”

Julie’s Emotional Exit On EastEnders

As we know, Julie had delivered a moving eulogy. And after which Nigel was laid to rest. Also, after the funeral, Julie read a final letter Nigel had written for her. In fact, it was revealed that Nigel had left his entire pension to Julie with a last wish, “It’s not to be used for bills. I want you to go to India and live for me. Thank you for being my wife.”

EastEnders: Julie Bates
EE/Julie has left Walford.

Before leaving, Julie left a goodbye note at Phil Mitchell’s house. She even thanked him for taking care of Nigel during his illness. But when a public farewell party was thrown for her she felt ‘overwhelmed’. Hence, she left the pub’s bathroom to leave Walford alone.

But soon, Phil realised she had fled, so he ran to the Walford station and caught her before her train arrived. Soon, the two hugged, and Julie told Phil they must look to the future for Nigel’s sake. And then she boarded a train to start a new life. Meanwhile, do you think the show must bring Julie back?
