Mark arrived in Albert Square, working for a ruthless crime boss named Russell. He had tasked Mark with tracking down and executing a police informant who was none other than Ravi Gulati. Later, after a brutal confrontation, Vicki convinced him to spare Ravi’s life.
But since he failed to complete the hit, the crime boss demanded a penalty to settle the score. Even though Phil used criminal connections to get the gang off Mark’s back, the financial debt is still there.
Elsewhere, Mark and Lauren are involved in the black-market car business. But soon we saw that romantic tension had built between the two. Even in the flashforward, Lauren received a secretive message. And fans are sure it’s Mark only.
