A Shocking Culprit Unmasked
The mystery behind the extortion plot has finally been solved. Also, you’ll be shocked to know that the culprit is much closer to home than anyone could think of. We know that Vicki Fowler was prepared to put everything at risk to stop the threats. However, the sinister sender’s revelations have left her and Zack in total shock.
Later, the hunt for the blackmailer took a turn. It happened when the search led them to the Beale household. Mark Fowler had traced the messages to Lauren and Peter’s house, and several adults were on their suspicion lists. However, the truth was finally out during a family visit to see Nigel Bates.
Later, Ian and Kathy grew suspicious when young Louie Beale received a text on a device he shouldn’t have been using. When they inspected his phone, they were horrified to find Vicki’s replies. This confirms that the schoolboy was the one demanding money. When he was confronted, Louie admitted to the scheme. He claimed he only did it because his parents were struggling for money.
Also, Louie revealed that he got the idea after hearing Cindy suggest that blackmail was a “necessary evil.” Now, the immediate threat has been neutralised. However, we aren’t sure if the problems will stop for the bride-to-be. Well, Vicki did manage to stop herself from confessing to Ross at the last second. And all thanks to her distraction Zack’s timely intervention.
EastEnders: Zack Remains In The Picture
Later, Vicki agreed to keep the young boy’s secret from Lauren and Peter. However, it was only if the incriminating photo was deleted. But but but Ian Beale was not so easily swayed. The weight of the secret forced him to step down as Ross’s best man. Now, the groom-to-be is in a lurch just weeks before the big day.
Also, Vicki thought that she would finally distance herself from her former flame. However, there’s a new twist which will ensure they stand side-by-side at the altar. And now that Ian is out of the wedding party, Ross asks Zack to step in as his best man.
