However, Nigel suddenly disappeared from the hospital before he was to be taken to the care facility. Julie was visibly frantic. However remained unusually quiet and stunned. Soon, they were informed that Clare and Lexi had taken Nigel away from the hospital earlier.
The two wanted to give Nigel one final celebration at the Queen Vic before moving to a care home. However, Julie was furious about the decision. Despite the arguments, the farewell gathering saw several touching moments. One of them was when Nigel finally recognised Clare during the gathering.
