EastEnders will soon welcome a new character to Walford. Actress Sheila Ruskin is joining the BBC soap as Gray Atkins’ grandmother, Sheila.

Rising costs of young Jordan’s long-term spinal rehabilitation collide with Denise’s aggressive blood cancer. Now, Chelsea is struggling to cope under the immense pressure so she turns to her returning sister, Libby Fox, for emotional support.
Later, while the two have a heart-to-heart. Chelsea confesses that her abusive ex-husband’s grandmother Sheila has been sending uncashed checks for the injured boy. Now, Libby is overwhelmed to see her sibling in such financial distress and to see a fragile Denise in the hospital.
Hence, the returnee secretly contacts the estranged relative. However, Chelsea soon discovers a hidden text message on her sister’s phone and the two are involved in a furious argument over an invasion of privacy.
Later, when Chelsea has a conversation with Eve Panesar-Unwin it changes her perspective. Now, the mother has realised that her son’s physical future is more important than personal pride.
EastEnders Welcomes A New Member In Jordan’s Storyline
Chelsea is nervous but determined as she arrives at a meeting with her sister to confront the wealthy matriarch, played by Sheila Ruskin. However, before anything, Chelsea immediately questions the great-grandmother regarding her current relationship with the imprisoned killer, Gray Atkins.
She doesnt want any connection with that twisted man. Soon, Chelsea feels relieved the meeting when Sheila explicitly promises that they are entirely estranged. In fact, that’s when she offers ongoing financial support with zero strings attached.
Initially, the agreement goes completely against every protective instinct. But Chelsea reluctantly accepts the cash to secure her son’s medical treatment. However, when she returns home to Albery Square, she feels guilty over breaking a solemn vow to banish the villain’s memory forever.
