Ash Palmisciano plays the character of Matty Barton in the soap. He joined the show in 2018 and is the show’s first-ever transgender character. Matty was first introduced as a regular female character named Hannah from 2009 to 2012. However, in 2018, he was reintroduced as a trans man.
