Beth Cordingly Confesses That Ruby Was Never Meant To Last!
Beth Cordingly, who plays the character of Ruby Fox Miligan, arrived in the village early last year. She was also nominated for the Best Leading Performer category in the British Soap Awards. During an interview with The Mirror, the Emmerdale actor disclosed that she planned to play the role for no more than 12 months as she was concerned about travelling between Brighton and Leeds.
However, she has been part of the soap for more than a year. She admitted that she didn’t know that she would love her job so much. She didn’t have the intention to play it for more than a year. Beth Cordingly took the job for many reasons. She said that when she and her daughter made a decision to take the role, they didn’t love the job as much as they love it now.
Beth added that Emmerdale is a magical place for her. She said that when one walks into the building, everything runs smoothly. The costume and make-up departments are cheerful.

Beth Cordingly shared that some of the shows she has worked on don’t work as a team; their cast and crew are divided. However, in Emmerdale, the cast and crew work as a team. Besides that, she also praised her on-screen husband, Caleb Miligan. William Ash, who plays Caleb, is one of the best actors she has worked with. She said she was lucky to share the set with him.
Beth was not only nominated for Best Leading Performer but also for Best on-screen partnership with Ash. However, EastEnders actor Lacey Turner won the Best Leading Performer Award. Furthermore, Rudolph Walker and Angela, who play Patrick and Yolande in EastEnders, won the Best On-Screen Partnership award.
