Jay Kontzle Shares That The Gym Scenes Weren’t Easy!
Jay Kontzle, who plays Billy Fletcher in the soap, opened up about his character. He is a personal trainer in his soap. During the podcast with Off Script, Kelvin and Liz Fletcher asked if he felt the pressure to hit the gym before shooting the training scenes in the soap.
The actor said that he felt 100 percent pressure to hit the gym. He shared that he tries to stay in good physical shape to feel confident in his body and look good on camera. He added that since he is a family man, what he is doing needs to make sense.
The Emmerdale actor recalled one of his scenes. In the scene, Billy was training alongside Manpreet Sharma, Bear Wolf, and Sam, he said he could barely keep up with them.
He was doing these scenes in the village hall while they were all having a workout session. Jay said that he hadn’t started going to the gym in real life then. As they were doing the scene again, he was feeling exhausted even before the camera started filming him.
Jay Reflects On Topless Scenes!
When he was asked about the topless scenes, he shared that he doesn’t do topless scenes. He said that he might show his arm but not his full topless body. Kelvin, who played Andy Sugden in the soap between 1996 and 2016, added that he used to get a lot of topless scenes, which made him feel a bit shy and embarrassed.
