Coronation Street, Emmerdale and EastEnders have announced schedule shakeups for next week. As the summer sports events begin, the regular timings of all three soaps will change for a few weeks. Two weeks of Wimbledon matches begin on the BBC next week. Meanwhile, EastEnders will air on BBC Two for the next four episodes.
Instead of the usual Monday to Thursday schedule, there will be two episodes of the show on Monday, June 30 and Tuesday, July 1 at 7 p.m. However, no episodes will air on Wednesday, July 2 and Thursday, July 3. The soap viewers can watch these double episodes on BBC iPlayer on Monday at 6 a.m. and Tuesday morning. Furthermore, the Women’s Euro 2025, which starts on Wednesday, will impact the two ITV soaps due to the timings of the football tournament.
The Sports Matches Are Responsible For The Soap’s Schedule Shake Up!
Emmerdale will air the normal episode on Monday, June 30. However, on Tuesday, July 1, the soap will air one one-hour episode at 7 p.m. instead of the usual 30-minute episode. Meanwhile, on Wednesday, July 2, the soap will air the episode at the usual time of 7.30 p.m. However, no episodes will air on Thursday, July 3 and Friday, July 4, due to the Spain vs. Portugal and Germany vs. Poland games.
Furthermore, for Corrie viewers, the pattern will remain the same. The soap will air its one-hour-long episode on Monday, June 30, and Wednesday, July 2, at 8 p.m. However, no episode will air on Friday, July 4.
