Emmerdale and Coronation Street are set for another schedule shake-up this week. This is due to the final of I’m A Celebrity, which will air on ITV1. Emmerdale And Coronation Street Air Times Turned Upside Down
Fans are aware that the soaps often witness a schedule change due to sports coverage or other TV shows on the channel. This week is not different as Emmerdale and Coronation Street will see another schedule shakeup. I’m A Celebrity…South Africa comes to an end this week. The live final will air on ITV1 on Friday, April 24. Though the whole series has been prerecorded, ITV1 will show the live final at 7:30 pm.
As it clashes with the soaps, Emmerdale and Coronation Street will face schedule chaos. No episode of Emmerdale and Coronation Street will air on Friday. Furthermore, the soap viewers will not see an episode on Sunday. Apart from this, there will be other changes in the timing or schedule this week.
Meanwhile, last year, ITV announced changes in the soap schedule, including Coronation Street and Emmerdale. In 2026, there was a soap opera power hour on weekdays with thirty minutes Dales episode at 8 pm and 30 minutes Corrie episode at 8:30 pm.
ITV Changed The Schedules This Year!
Earlier, Corrie aired for three-hour-long episodes a week while Emmerdale aired for thirty-minute episodes and one long hour episode. Elsewhere in May 2025, ITV chief executive Dame Carolyn McCall said that the company was making good progress on cost-cutting.
Meanwhile, the soap has been focusing on Charity’s pregnancy secret, Jacob’s workplace bullying storyline, Cain Dingle’s prostate cancer and Moira’s troubles, who have recently been released from prison. Furthermore, the soap is exploring a relationship between Kammy Hadiq and Belle Dingle.
