The schedule change comes just months after ITV soaps adopted a new pattern. Now they air for only half an hour. The new pattern has been facing a serious disruption.
This week, the soap viewers saw two long-hour editions of Coronation Street and Emmerdale. However, there is a halt in the next visit to Weatherfield and the Dales. Today, no episode was aired due to the England and Croatia match. Even tomorrow, the soap fans won’t be able to watch the instalments. The channel will cover Switzerland vs Herzegovina and Bosnia’s match.
However, Emmerdale and Coronation Street will be back on Friday. The instalments will air for half an hour. The Dales residents will appear at 8 pm, while Weatherfield residents will be seen at 8:30 pm. Thus, both the soaps are facing a major schedule shake-up.
