Emmerdale star Beth Cordingly, who plays Ruby Fox-Miligan, has finally addressed the ongoing rumors about her exit from the show. She recently took to Instagram and posted a reel where she said she was “just addressing some fake news.” It has only been a year since Ruby’s character came to life, and we were even as shocked by the news as you. She also clarified another rumor regarding her getting “mistreated” by a producer on the show.
What Beth Said In the Reel
Beth Cordingly said, “For the record – if I’m allowed to say this, I’m not leaving the show at the moment – as far as I know. I’m having a really lovely time. I’m being treated very well, and I’m having a lovely time.” Her video came as a relief to us and her fans as well. We love seeing Beth onscreen, and her untimely exit would have really disappointed us.
As soon as the video went live, the followers chimed in with one writing, “You’re never allowed to leave… Best Emmerdale casting in years; I absolutely love Ruby!” Another wrote, “You are great, and Ruby is such an interesting character. So glad you are staying”, while a third fan commented, “Love Ruby… You are an amazing actress with such a heartbreaking storyline”. We think, after the Belle-Tom plot, Ruby’s dark storyline is going to replace it.
Ruby’s Storyline Is Heating Up
In the show, Ruby is currently involved in a dark storyline, and her exit doesn’t seem imminent. While she is already dealing with her daughter’s and estranged father’s out-of-the-blue return, an assault plot will top it off. We see Ruby trying to get along with her daughter, Steph, but she always keeps her distance from her father. Earlier, we didn’t know the reason—but now, we do—and it’s shocking and disturbing.
In the recent flashback scenes from Ruby’s 16th birthday, we saw Anthony entering her room where the pair was alone in the house. Though there was no such graphical representation, Ruby’s expressions told the rest. Maybe, around Christmas, Ruby’s patience will be put to the test as Anthony plans to stay in the village for the foreseeable future.
