Earlier, this year on Emmerdale, fans were left devastated when a car crash claimed young Heath Hope’s life. The teens were racing off to attend a party in a speeding car when they crashed. Initially, Heath’s twin, Cathy Hope, was blamed for crashing the vehicle. But that wasn’t the real story.
Eventually, Angelica King confessed that she was the one driving the car, and not Cathy. She took responsibility for the accident and was given an eight-month prison sentence in court. We did not really see Cathy or Angelica after that storyline wrapped up. However, the young legends have now returned to Emmerdale.
The recent episodes saw Angel getting released from prison, and coming back home. Nicola King was overjoyed to have her daughter return home. However, her homecoming and re-adjustment into the village wasn’t as rosy as Angelica King may have hoped. Later, Cathy Hope dropped by to support her friend. Angel confided in her that she does not want to return to school. She admitted that she fears children will label her a “freak”.
Understanding the gravity of the situation, Cathy relayed the information to Bob, who promptly informed Nicola King about how Angelica had been feeling deep down. The mother is stunned to hear the truth and breaks down claiming that she is a terrible mom, and has perhaps failed her daughter. However, Bob immediately jumped in to comfort her and even gave her a hug and a few words of encouragement.

Later, Nicola once again gets pulled into Tom King’s drama and all the chaos he had brought into the family home. She urges her husband to wake up and see Tom for who he really is.
