Cain Dingle was diagnosed with prostate cancer this year. Later, Jacob Gallagher hit him with his car. Due to this, his operation was postponed.
Meanwhile, Moira was released from prison. She has been trying to adjust to her new life at Wishing Well. Furthermore, reconnecting with Cain has also been a challenge for Moira. Cain has been worrying that his operation will impact the couple’s bond.

Later, Liam returned to the pub and told Moira and Chas that Cain had decided not to have his operation. When Moira came back, she began arguing with Cain that sex wasn’t the only thing in their relationship. But Cain reminded her about the affair she had had with Nate, as she felt neglected by him. Later, Cain was seen outside the Dingle home.
