Emma Atkins Appeared In Many Soaps!
Emma Atkins, who plays Charity Dingle in the soap, grew up in Silverdale, Lancashire. Then she studied at the University of Salford. During her University days, she auditioned for Charity.
The actor grabbed the role in 2000 during her final year of studies. Meanwhile, in 2004, she took a brief hiatus from the soap to pursue other things. She told her fans that she was sad to leave but wanted to try other roles. She added that Charity’s exit needed to be a positive one.
During that time, Emma appeared in BBc series, Daniel and Pascoe, Mayo, New Street Law, I’m with stupid, Doctors and Casualty. In 2008 she also played the character of Lesley Ashton in Heartbeat. In 2009 she returned to Emmerdale. She was also nominated for the Best Actor at the British Soap Awards in 2010 and 2018. In 2018, she won the Best Actor award at the TV Choice Awards.

Emma has been in a happy relationship for many years with her partner, Tom. The pair also welcomed their son, Albert, just before Emma’s 40th birthday. She also hid her pregnancy so that she didn’t spoil the plot. So, she was imprisoned in 2015. Emma took the maternity break after this. She is married to Mackenzie Boyd. In prison, she gave birth to her son, Noah. They have been a major part of Joe’s storyline. Joe drugged Noah, which led to the tragic limo crash killing Suzy, Amy and Leyla. They have discovered the truth about Joe. Dawn pushed him at the party. But he has gained consciousness.
