Last year, the soap covered many engaging and intense storylines. The soap fans saw Ruby killing Anthony as he had abused her. Furthermore, there was a limo crash which resulted in deaths. Furthermore, the entry of John Sugden shook the soap fans. His hero complex put many locals in trouble. Later, his truth was out.
Another big plot that captured the attention of fans was Charity’s pregnancy storyline. Furthermore, the fans also saw the drug-dealing storyline. Ray and Celia trapped Bear, April and Dylan into drug dealing, prostitution and modern-day slavery. However, later, the drug dealers were killed.
Fans Call Out Ongoing Slump!
Meanwhile, this year, the drug-dealing storyline and Joe’s scheming put Moira into trouble. Even her husband, Cain, was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Another storyline the soap has been highlighting this year is workplace bullying. Jacob’s is trapped in it. His boss, Todd, has been manipulating him.
Elsewhere, Bear, Paddy and Dylan are trapped while Charity’s truth is still not out. Amid this, the soap viewers took to social media to share that the soap is not doing very well. The soap fan is also not interested in the workplace bullying storyline. They even said that Joe is a weak villain compared to John and Ray. They want the soap to give big storylines to someone other than Cain and Charity. The viewers think that Coronation Street is better than Emmerdale right now. The storylines might be better ahead.
