Fans Think They Have Seen Clive Before!
The soap introduced a new character in Cain Dingle’s prostate cancer plot in the latest episode. A new arrival named Clive made an appearance in the support group meeting. Phil Mealey played the character, and fans have recognised him from the BBC show, Early Doors.
This sitcom, which aired for two seasons between 2003 and 2004, was co-written by Craig Cah and Mealey. It featured two best friends, Nigel and Joe.
Meanwhile, in Emmerdale, Mealey took on the role of a fellow cancer patient, Clive. Cain started working to distract himself from the upcoming surgery. He asked Sam to look over the prospective machinery. Meanwhile, Kmamy asked him if he was not going to the prostate cancer class. But Cain told him to mind his own business.
Cain decided not to go to the class, but then he talked to Sarah Sugden. The granddaughter convinced him. Thus, he decided to go. There, a fellow member, Clive, approached him. He shared his relationship struggles after his diagnosis. He said that if he were single, then it would have been a lot easier. Since all this started, his partner couldn’t look him in the eye anymore.
Cain Is Angry!
They sit there and listen to all about how cancer will strip off his dignity. Clive’s words stayed wth Cain, who was already anxious about his marriage and surgery. He changed his mind about attending the meeting and left the place. Then Cain listened to a voicemail from Moira. She was concerned that he didn’t show up for the visit. However, instead of calling her back, he went to The Woolpack.
