Lydia Dingle blamed herself and Sam Dingle for the accident that resulted in Kim’s injury and Ice’s death. The soap fans know that Sam arranged an illicit shoot on Kim’s land to earn money for the various repairs needed at Wishing Well. Lydia agreed to help Kim, and she also helped Sam deal with the people who paid to hunt on the land. They expected a lot, and Lydia had to walk them out. She told them to snare rabbits.
Meanwhile, one of these snares injured Ice’s leg. Kim fell on the ground. She was on her way to the land after Vanessa informed her about the shooting. While Kim was yelling for help, Lydia was enjoying Jason Donovan’s concert arranged by Kim. In the episode, Lydia helped Kim scatter Ice’s ashes. Kim cried after bidding goodbye to him.
Furious Kim Fires Sam And Lydia!
After the incident, Kim has been suspicious of everyone around her. She suspects Joe and Dawn want to grab the empire sooner rather than later. Meanwhile, Gabby went to meet her mother for Christmas and was more interested in herself than anyone else. Thus, Kim only trusts Lydia, so she changed her will and left Home Farm to her. However, Lydia has already been feeling guilty.
Sam told her to accept Kim’s offer. He believed that Dingles have been both poachers and gamekeepers on Home Farm for generations. So they should be the lords of the manor. After Lydia and Kim finished scattering Ice’s ashes, they went back to the house. Sam arrived, so Kim told him to convince Lydia.
Lydia felt guilty and revealed that Ice died due to them. Kim was horrified. Though Sam told her it was an idea, she said that her friend betrayed her. She fired him and turned to Lydia, as she had joined the list of the people who had betrayed Kim. Furthermore, she sacked Lydia. Kim was alone and heartbroken.
