She is married to Coronation Street fan favourite Jane Hazelgrove. She plays Bernie Winter in the soap. They married in 2015 after being together for 20 years. In 2019, Jane expressed her obsession with her wife, calling her amazing and beautiful in an interview.
When the Coronation Street Facebook fan group shared the photo of the couple, fans were surprised to discover their marriage.
