Emmerdale has been making waves in the soapverse all year long with some of the most heated up storylines we have seen in recent past. Tom King and Belle Dingle’s abusive marriage storyline garnered a lot of attention and also appreciation throughout the year. However, as 2025 approaches, the curtains are about to fall on that storyline. This means there is going to be some scope for new stories when the new year kicks in!
Interestingly, the news circuits are buzzing with chatter that a former Corrie star has landed a new role on Emmerdale. Actress Rhea Bailey’s talent agency recently announced that the star has been filming in the Dales but didn’t reveal what role she would be playing. For the unversed, Rhea famously portrayed the wicked Chas on Corrie between 2015 and 2016. She has as many as 72 episodes to her credit on the ITV soap.
A New Villain For Dales?
Although Rhea’s acting credits are not limited to Coronation Street alone. She has also previously appeared on Doctors, Waterloo Road, Hetty Feather, Girlfriends, and The Bill. With that acting power, we are certain that she can handle pretty much any sort of character. Yet, we must admit that she did impress viewers quite a lot with her portrayal of Caz. So we won’t be surprised at all if Emmerdale has brought her on board to play a villainous character similar to her Corrie act.
If Tom King’s trial goes as fans want it to go, that is he gets punished. The ITV drama will lose a formidable baddie. Thus, leaving a prominent hole in the soap’s fabric. We can totally picture Rhea Baily stepping in as a new evil character that shakes up Dales once again! So, who’s excited to see her on the soap? Tell us in the comments.
