Ella’s Terrible Past And Accusations!
Ella’s time in the village was mainly about trying to live after killing her best friend. When she was a child, she killed Joanne out of jealousy to seek revenge, leading to her arrest. After coming back from prison, she changed her name from Ruth to Ella to hide her past. Though the people in the village accepted her as Ella, her life took a huge turn when they accused her of tampering with Chas’s medicines.
She also told Manpreet that Chas was trying to blame her and Chas had a painkiller addiction. But everyone pressured her to leave the village. Though Ella departed a few days ago, she came to prove her innocence. Ella started troubling the couple by bombarding them with messages and smashing the window pane in the woolpack.
She also tricked Mandy into calling Liam. When he arrived and learned of her scheming he pretended that he loved her. She admitted that she tampered with the medicines but soon took her statement back after realising Liam’s trick. When she was informed that the police authorities were called, she ran away.

Liam chased her and a major confrontation in the woods led Ella into a dangerous situation. She pushed Liam and he hit his head on the rock. Fearing that she had killed him, she started crying but was relieved when he gained consciousness. He told her that she needed professional help. Meanwhile, she confessed her love for him, telling him that she was innocent. However, police arrived and arrested her. Though Chas was relieved, Liam felt lost. However fans wonder – Is it an end to her storyline?
Since Ella’s story with the couple has ended she won’t be back for some time. But will she never be back? Paul Lane’s exit was disclosed in December last year.
