As per the recent Emmerdale spoilers, we will soon see five flashforward scenes on New Year’s Eve. Just as 2024 draws close, the fans will get a glimpse of what will happen in the future. Isn’t it exciting? The show bosses confirmed that a half-hour edition will be aired on New Year’s Eve, from 7.45 pm. While the regular drama will still be there, we may see brief jumps to the future – that will leave us guessing what happens next. But which storylines will the makers finally drill down to?
If you have followed the last two weeks’ spoilers, you would know that Kim and Will’s relationship has been going through a rough patch, and Will is trying to bring her down on Christmas. I think the aftermath can secure its spot in the New Year’s Eve scenes. Next, as Belle is due justice for Tom’s abuse, her storyline is similarly important to show how she tackles life going ahead. Last but not least, we can’t forget about Marlon and Ruby. With their storylines gearing up, they may secure spots too.
What’s Waiting for Will & Kim?
As we all know, Will has been plotting to take Kim down for a long time now. But with Peter delaying the plan and the Fletchers coming back for the vow renewal – it seems like a long shot now. Moreover, Kim has been really honest with Will and seems really excited about the wedding, and that only adds to his guilt. When he sees Kim genuinely plan the Christmas for them, he seems worried – maybe because there’s no way for him to come back now. So, this plot surely gets its place in the flash-forward scenes!
A Relieved Christmas for Belle
Belle has been through a lot, and finally, she is relieved forever from Tom’s abuse. Now, it’s time for her to be happy and move on with her life ahead. In the flashforward scenes, we may see Belle Dingle reuniting with her old dog, Piper, with some help from Vinny and Gabby. And as for Tom, though he tried to pull a stint by faking suicide and making Belle feel guilty – it didn’t work. I think this flash-forward scene is really important for the viewers to get the final closure that Belle is happy.
It’s Not-So-Good for Marlon, Jacob, and Ruby Plots
Sadly, Marlon and Ruby’s plots will remain negative as of now. Marlon is worried about his daughter April’s depressing and rebellious behavior after she learned about her mother’s death. Now, he wants to avenge Ross for revealing the truth to her daughter. For Jacob, it’s going to be really tough for him to survive at the hospital on the first day at the A&E department. However, we are soon getting an hour-long special episode focused only on this.
As for Ruby – she has been getting on terms with her daughter, Stephanie. But her past has brought back some not-so-good memories. Plus, she cannot convince her father to accept Cain and forgive him for his affair. It’s going to be really shaky in 2025 for these plots – however, the exact twists still remain under wraps.
