Robert Sugden is out of prison and will return to the village in the upcoming episodes. However, his return will take a turn as John Sugden wants to get rid of him. When he returns, he stays at Victoria Sugden’s house. But a nightmare leads him to accidentally lash out at her. He does this due to his prison trauma. Victoria is left with a black eye.
Robert Sugden feels so guilty that he wants to move out. However, his sister, Victoria Sugden, knows that he didn’t want to hurt her. She gets concerned for him and urges him to stay at the house. Meanwhile, Robert Sugden’s life takes another tragic turn when he loses his new job. Caleb agreed to give John a trial at the depot, but John gets angry and urges him to fire Robert. Caleb makes an excuse to fire him, but soon Jai’s slip of tongue reveals that John is responsible for this. The furious Robert confronts John. He doesn’t apologise as he wants to get rid of Robert.

Furthermore, when John learns about Victoria’s black eye, he gets more determined to move Robert away from the village. Then Robert overhears John, who tells Victoria to report the assault. Robert goes to Aaron, but he refuses to help him. Then he drinks and starts dating other men to make Aaron jealous. But while dating a guy, someone drugs him. John sees the opportunity and sneakily drives off with the van, where the unconscious Robert is.
He looks at him and clutches a syringe. Meanwhile, soap fans know that John puts people in danger and then saves them later. Then, later, Robert wakes up in the back of the van with no memory of how he ended up there.
