Actor Lawrence Robb has revealed why his character Mackenzie Boyd is so suspicious after a bull attack. Next week, Mack gets knocked down by a bull that blocks his way out of the barn. Thankfully, Nate comes to his rescue. After getting out, Mack accuses John Sugden of setting up the bull as revenge.
The soap star explained that his character suspects John of orchestrating the bull attack because he ‘doesn’t like John’ and believes he harbours a personal grudge. He suggested Mack might be jealous of a new person getting close to his bromance with Aaron.
Moreover, viewers must recall that Mack had recently stolen John’s van. Hence, the actor added, “The aftermath of that is Mack is convinced John has got revenge on him by letting the bull loose on him to cause carnage.” By this time, the newcomer is also working at the farm, which adds to Mack’s frustration.
Lawrence suggested that Mack will likely never see eye-to-eye with John Sugden as they have deep mistrust. While there might be a chance for some level of amicability in the future, the actor noted that they will unlikely ever share a friendly pint at the pub.
