Emmerdale spoilers hint at a major showdown between Ross and Marlon soon and might have some ripple effects, according to Mark Charnock. As April’s behavior starts to get worse over the Christmas episodes, tensions between Marlon and Ross grow too. Marlon is way too worried about his daughter’s rebellious attitude and can’t decide what to do to calm her down and make things right.
Marlon Has No Way Out
In the upcoming episodes, we see April Windsor’s behaviour going out of control as she grieves the truth about her mother’s death. However, Marlon blames Ross for this because he is the one who told April about how Donna, her mother, who was terminally ill gave up her life in 2014. However, his honest revelation had an unexpected outcome as April started blaming herself for her mother’s death.
Unable to deal with her grief, April resorts to addictions and tries to buy cannabis. Although she gets caught in front of the whole family and ends up embarrassing herself. Once Marlon gets to know this, he confronts Ross and blames him for April’s condition. We can’t blame Marlon as well and neither can we pin it on Ross. It’s such a delicate issue, it’s bound to cause some ripples.
What Mark Said About the Storyline
Talking to the Digital Spy, Mark said “I feel pretty butch, tbh! Parr is brilliant and the scene was a great one too, written by Peter Kerry. It all happens so fast – Marlon grabs Ross as soon as he sees him coming out of his house – marlon didn’t know April had given him the keys. To him, Ross has done something outrageous! Soon, Marlon pins him to the wall. What’s great about the scene is Ross doesn’t even raise his arm, he just says: ‘Look, I’m going to make you regret this in a minute’.”
The actor adds, “Once Marlon grabs him, they both know Ross is the powerful one here! That was really fun to play, actually. Somewhere along the line, I wonder if there’ll be a meeting of minds between Ross and Marlon. There’s a connection there; there’s so much history with them. I think there’s an element of jealousy there. I think there was before because Ross had such a close relationship with April. Despite the tensions, Marlon may rely on Ross for support when April again goes missing on Christmas Day.”
The latest Emmerdale spoilers suggest that April’s sudden disappearance might be somehow connected to Jade. She is probably trying to avenge Ross and has already kidnapped her before.
