Latest Emmerdale spoilers reveal that Marlon Dingle and his daughter, April Windsor, have been on a rough patch. But now, after his recent outburst on her, things might just start to get worse from here. As per the spoilers, April’s continuous rebellious behavior and out-of-the-blue actions have forced this kind of behavior out of him. Besides, he has been through a lot, too – and is kind of jealous that he doesn’t have a similar rapport with April as Ross.
In the Monday episode, we saw Marlon get a major shock as he was scrolling through April’s phone. Turns out, she was trying to source cannabis. This leads to a heated conversation between the father-daughter duo until April accuses her father of being a “liar” and spying on her. Though Marlon tries to show his concern, he fails to make her understand. As if things couldn’t get any worse, Marlon even takes away April’s phone.
Things Start to Go Downhill
Things start to go downhill after the father-daughter clash – as April soon learns that Marlon had told Ross to stay away from her. We all know how great a bond Ross and April share – and once she discovers her father is trying to ruin that, she says she would never forgive him for his actions. Marlon hasn’t yet returned April’s phone – so things are still tense. Later, we see Marlon confiding in Chas about all that has happened and seems worried that his daughter might go “off the rails”.
Though Chas assured him of April being a “good girl,” her words were soon proved wrong. As they turn their backs, April tries to steal an alcohol bottle from the pub’s back room. Not only that, but she also asks Cathy to join her – though she denies it. When Cathy tries to explain to April that her father’s intentions were good for not telling her about her mother’s death, April accuses her of being a “hypocrite” and goes home drunk.
April Disappears
Later, when she gets home, we see her ruining a cake Wendy baked for the family. She even asks Marlon to apologize for lying as he took Ross away from her. To her, Ross was the only person she could talk to about her mum. Meanwhile, the bottle of red wine she was holding onto gets knocked over the kitchen table and ruins a memory card. As soon as it happens, we see Marlon losing his temper as it was the last video April’s mum made for her – and now, it’s ruined.
However, April gets emotional and turns to the blame game again. She accuses Marlon and says he hates her, and it would be much easier for him if she faded into the background. Out of frustration, Marlon agrees with her and instantly regrets it. But as it is, you can’t take back the words you say – April rushes out, saying it was the most honest thing he ever said to her. Will he be able to bring April back? Or, will she land into yet another trouble? Stay tuned to Soap Opera Daily for more Emmerdale spoilers to find out. Can things get better for them?
