Emmerdale spoilers suggest that Sarah and Jacob will face more hurdles in the New Year episodes. The duo hit it off earlier this month amidst the Christmas cheer. It’s garnering even more attention because Jacob has not been in a relationship for a long time — his last one was with Victoria Barton. Until now, he has focused only on his medical studies. But recently, the pair has come closer during the Christmas activities. We also saw them flirting, and Jacob even asked her for the “first date.”
However, their first date plans are ruined because Leyla, Jacob’s mum, plans to go for lunch on the same day with her son instead. As we already know, Jacob will soon embark on a new career opportunity in the hospital’s A&E department, and it will be anything but easy for him. He will soon feel overwhelmed by the high-pressure environment from Day 1 and may doubt himself all over again. But he will somehow try to hold on to it and begin socializing with his new friends at The Woolpack.
Jacob’s Work-life Affects His Love-life
Later in the week, we will also see Sarah heading over to join Jacob and his friends, but she feels left out as she hardly has a clue what they are talking about. Things start to go downhill as soon as Jacob’s friends learn about Sarah’s admission to the A&E department in a drunken state. They even gang up on her and treat her badly for such irresponsible behavior.
However, Jacob feels guilty as he is the reason Sarah has come, and now his friends are berating her. Later, Jacob apologizes to Sarah for not being supportive in front of his friends. Will Satah be able to forgive him? Soon, we see the pair spending the night together as their relationship gets back on track. Will this be a regular thing for this new couple now, or was it a one-off thing?
