There’s something big brewing in the Dales – and soon, we might get to see another major exit if the latest Emmerdale spoilers are to go by. The actor only made her debut earlier this year, but her latest Spotlight talent profile update is hinting at an early exit by 2025. Let’s dive in!
Paula Lane to Exit the Dales?
Actress Paula Lane, who we know as Ella Forster in Emmerdale, will probably exit the show in 2025. She was previously seen in the ITV soap Coronation Street as Kylie Platt.
Even though it has only been a year since we met her in Dales as the receptionist – her storyline has always kept us on our toes. From becoming friends with Mandy Dingle to getting into an affair with Liam Cavanagh – we have loved her throughout.
Ella’s Gripping Storyline
When we first met Ella, with her wild backstory of her time in prison as a child, we couldn’t help but sympathize. In this intense storyline, we even see how she struggled to readjust to this society, which only made her life in Dales more awkward.
Back in August, when Paula Lane renewed her contract with Emmerdale, she shared about her role and the intense storyline in an interview: “When I took the part of Ella, I didn’t know that this storyline was going to be the storyline it is now. But any actor worth their salt will take something very gritty. And that’s going to give you full exposure, so run with it. So I knew that it was in safe hands, I knew that they wanted to do a really great job with it.
Combined with the writer, and the director, I just knew that they were going to make it something really magical. So initially, I think I was quite nervous to play it out. Because you just never know which way the audience is going to go. But ultimately, I just always look for the truth in it. And then hope that everything kind of follows on from there.”
We Feel for Ella
As viewers, we couldn’t help but feel for Ella when she got pregnant with Liam’s child but found him to cheat on her. And, when she ended up tragically miscarrying the child, Liam got fully committed to a future with Chas. While we were speculating for her to get into a revenge plot when Mandy shared Chas’ history and she found them together in Liam’s home – it seems like Ella is destined for a quiet exit.
