The Crossover Episode Will Launch Soon!
In May, ITV announced that Coronation Street and Emmerdale will join in a special edition, which will launch in 2026. There will be a power hour from 8 p.m. Monday to Friday. Thus, both the soaps will lose a half-hour episode per week. This is the first official event where different soap worlds have come together. In the past, there have been only small crossovers for Children in Need or to portray climate change.
The producers have disclosed that the crossover will leave lasting consequences for both Weatherfield and Emmerdale. Thus, the characters will merge but will return to their respective soaps after the episode ends. Some people will leave, while some new people will arrive in both shows.
Ryan Hawley Opens Up On Exit!
Recently, soap expert and writer Sharon Marshall was on the set where Ryan, Oliver, and Danny were shown in yesterday’s episodes. Sharon interviewed the three people about the plot. Ryan Hawley, who plays Robert Sugden, opened up the recent episode. Furthermore, he said that the crossover will be interesting. In the latest episode, John threw himself and Aaron from the gorge. Before this, he framed Robert and called the police, claiming Aaron’s ex had threatened to kill them.
Ryan said that Robert’s future is at risk. He might have to exit. The character returned to the village earlier this year. He stopped Aaron from marrying John, but he ended up marrying him. However, he broke some laws and was back in prison. When Robert came back, he tried to prove John wrong, but no one believed him.
They accused him of being jealous of the couple. Then Robert teamed with Victoria and Butler’s farm. He was able to focus on work, but when Paddy shared his concerns about John, he went to the cottage after knowing the address from Eric. The soap fans wonder – Will Robert be able to save himself?
