Charity Dingle answers a call on Sarah’s phone. She is shocked to hear that from the hospital, where the staff informs her that her granddaughter has cervical cancer. The grandmother is angry as well as concerned for Sarah Sugden. She confronts Sarah Sugden, telling her that she has learned about her condition. Sarah is guilty and anxious but tries to explain to Charity that she didn’t want to hurt her, especially after what she has been through.
