Furthermore, Dr Todd blackmailed Charity Dingle. When she learned that Jacob wasn’t baby Leyla’s father, she asked Charity to convince Jacob to drop the complaint. Then she asked her to give her money. However, after Dr Todd realised that Charity owned half the pub, she demanded £100000. But Charity couldn’t give her the full amount and asked her to reveal the truth.
Later, Dr Todd sexually assaulted Charity, who went to the police station and reported the abuser. However, when the police interrogated Dr Todd, she twisted the story and said that the sex was consensual. Later, she left the village, saying goodbye to Manpreet, Vanessa and Charity.

Though she has left, sources claim she will be back. According to reports from Inside Soap, Caroline Harker will leave the show later this year. Every soap villain needs a fitting punishment. It seems that Dr Todd will be no different. Caroline’s story will conclude later this year. Charity has been struggling to overcome the ordeal; there’s more to come, and the soap fans will see Dr Todd again. But she won’t stick around on a long-term basis.
The soap star has done a fantastic job. However, with issue-based plots, the characters are often brought in for a specific story arc and aren’t extended as permanent. The soap fans will have to wait and see whether Charity gets her comeuppance in late Summer or Autumn.
