If the latest Emmerdale spoilers are to be believed, three television legends will be seen in Tom and Belle’s final scene. Based on speculation, the stars are Denise Welch, Jack Ellis, and Charles T Dale. But why are they making this sudden appearance? And how will they contribute to Tom’s downfall?
Tom’s Luck is Now ‘Sealed’
Now that Belle has finally reported Tom to the police, there’s no more running away for him. This is going to be the final conclusion of Tom’s story, where all of Belle’s abuses will be avenged in a special hour-long episode. And to make that episode more special, three legends are coming in.
From what it seems, Loose Women panelists Denise, Jack, and Charles will appear in their characters, Heidi, Karl, and Kenneth. They will be seen as jury members. Their roles will be vital because, in a way, they will be instrumental in deciding Tom’s conclusion.
Three New Legends Enter
Denise Welch, who is popular for her role as feisty Natalie Barnes in Coronation Street in the late 90s, will appear as Heidi in Emmerdale. She is also quite popular for her roles as Trish Minniver in Hollyoaks, Alison Slater in EastEnders, and Steph Haydock in Waterloo Road.
Next to her will be Charles, who has been known for his popularity as Big Mac in Casualty for almost a decade. It’s going to be a sweet reunion for him and Denise since he portrayed the role of Janice Battersby.
Last but not least, we will also get to see Bad Girls actor Jack Ellis making an entry with these two. Also, did you know that Ellis, too, is a Coronation Street alumni because of the role he played as Harry Mason back in 2008?
Laura Shaw Comments on The Storyline
While announcing the special episode, Laura Shaw said:
‘When we first embarked on this journey, we knew we wanted to show domestic abuse, coercive control, and manipulation in all its guises. The privilege we have on a drama such as Emmerdale is being able to show the reality of a situation. Mostly, Over a longer period of time to authentically reflect what so many people go through in real life on a daily basis.
We knew from the outset that Belle would need some sort of closure on Tom. And we know our Emmerdale audience always look forward to our villains getting their comeuppance,’ she said. ‘We don’t want to spoil the outcome of this story and reveal what will happen to Tom. But needless to say, Belle’s going to be in a much better place by this Christmas.’
While Tom and Belle’s concluding plot was already pretty heated up – adding these legends only makes things more interesting. Surely, they will have a major role to play in the special episode.
