Steph’s Suspicion Rises: Is She Getting Close To The Truth?
Steph is convinced that something is fishy, but will she find out the truth? In previous episodes, the viewers got to know that as a teenager, Ruby was repeatedly abused by Anthony. Seeking revenge led her to kill him. Her husband Caleb along with John, Chas, Aaron, Cain stepped in to cover up the mystery.
In tonight’s episode, Steph refuses to agree that her grandfather has left the village. Determined to uncover the truth, she keeps questioning her parents. A new twist takes place – Steph discovers a gun in Caleb’s safe and questions her parents, wondering if they used it to kill Anthony.
Caleb quickly tries to cover up the secret, saying that he bought the gun to kill Cain after discovering Ruby’s affair with Cain. He tried to convince her, saying that it has nothing to do with her grandfather and was only meant for Cain. They try their best to convince her. But Steph isn’t easily persuaded and warns Ruby that she will check with Cain herself, heading straight to Cain’s place.
Emmerdale Spoilers: Steph Confronts Cain- Will He Tell The Truth?
When Steph reaches Cain’s place, she orders him to tell the truth. She believes that if he hesitates then he is lying. However, to her surprise, Cain immediately supports Caleb’s story. When Steph leaves, Caleb, who has been hiding in Cain’s living room, steps out and thanks his brother for helping him.
Steph is left with no option but to believe the cooked up story. But Steph’s suspicion keeps rising. Later, at the Woolpack, Ross meets Steph, expressing his concern about her mental health due to her grandfather’s mystery. Steph keeps on thinking about the secret. She can’t let go of her gut feeling that Cain was warned beforehand and he just repeated the cooked up story.
