Emmerdale actor Sam Gannon, who played Kev in the soap passes away in 2022 at the age of 31. His family said that the actor died suddenly during a trip, and the cause of the death hasn’t been confirmed. However, Sam had ahealth condition since birth which worsened. Stay with us to find out more.
Sam Gannon Dies While Travelling!
Sam Gannon played the character of Kev in 2019. He was a horse-drawn carriage coachman. The character appeared alongside Charity Dingle.
His scenes took place when he was supporting Charity, who poured the bottle down the drain. The clip appeared in his showreel that was later submitted by his family.
However, the former Emmerdale star tragically died while travelling to America as he went to visit his relatives. He suddenly passed away in 2022. His mother also spoke about him. She said that Sam was having a great time. He was up in the mountains, shooting tin cans and building stables for horses. But Sam had a heart condition from birth.
Sam’s mother, Angela, added that one doesn’t expect these things to happen, especially at the age of 31. It was an absolute total shock. Sam was building his career and had landed a seat in two shows, Emmerdale and Tales of Bacon.
His Friends And Family Supported Him!
Thus actor’s friends and family came forward after his death. They helped in aiding a crowdfunding platform to help bring his body to the U.S. and have a funeral. £15,000 was raised by 504 donations.
Meanwhile, his partner, Zoe Hakin, said that it has been amazing to see how many people love him. Zoe added that Sam was funny and vibrant. Furthermore, his loved ones added that he would be missed. They described him as a true performer.
His loved ones added that any extra money outside of what was required to return him home would be donated to a Charity supporting youth theatre.
