Nevertheless, the real murderer turned out to be Bear Wold, who killed Ray to protect his son, Paddy Kirk. As a matter of fact, Bear was thought to be dead after a fight with Celia. Besides, Paddy and Dylan saw the whole thing. Then, they assisted Bear in getting the body into the depot van.

Paddy’s main concern was his father’s safety. Bear wasn’t coping after what happened. He was drugged up and mentally all over the place. Paddy stepped in to protect Bear and Dylan from what could happen next.
And some scenes required them to remember what Paddy knew at different points. It included flashbacks and moments when the audience knew more than the characters. Brunt said the confusion in filming made it tough. However, it also made the story more engaging.
Going forward, Paddy’s focus was to keep Dylan and Bear safe. He wants to prevent further psychological harm. He also has to manage his own guilt about whatever events happened.
