Georgia Jay played the character of Steph Miligan in the soap. She was a part of many engaging storylines. The character arrived in 2024. Steph is the daughter of Ruby and Caleb Miligan. She went to the village when her relationship with her parents was strained. Meanwhile, later she took a turn as she found out a big secret.
Steph learned that Ruby was sexually abused as a child. Furthermore, her daughter was a result of the abuse. A DNA test confirmed that Steph was conceived as a result of the rape. When Steph found out that information, she was shocked and struggled to process the truth. Steph even wanted to get surgery done as she saw a reflection of Anthony in her face. But Ruby and Caleb stopped her.

Though her departure was believed to be temporary, it has been confirmed that she has permanently left the village. Recently, the soap star took to social media to share that it’s been almost a year since she left the soap. Georgia shared three pictures.
The first picture includes Georgia, Beth Cordingly (Ruby) and William (Caleb). The second snap shows the Emmerdale village, while the third one shows Georgia and Michael Parr (Ross Barton).
The actor wrote that she couldn’t believe that it’s been a year since she left the village. She misses Steph and everyone who made it special. Meanwhile, her fellow stars, including Bradley Riches and Lucy Pargeter, mentioned that they miss her.
