James Hooton Breaks Silence On Sam’s Exit!

James Hooton plays the character of Sam Dingle in the soap. He has been a part of many engaging storylines. Sam joined the soap in 1995 and left in 1998. However, he came back in 2000. The character is the son of Zak Dingle and the father of Samson Dingle. Furthermore, Sam has been a part of many romantic relationships.

He also had a failed marriage to Alice. She passed away due to cancer. The character is often involved in family tensions. Meanwhile, there have been rumours that Sam Dingle is leaving the soap. So, addressing the rumours, James Hooton took to Facebook to put an end to the exit speculations. 

The soap star shared that he has no intentions to leave anytime soon.  He said that he hasn’t left the soap. James revealed that he has a contract until March 2027. He won’t leave until the soap gets rid of him. James continued that online news suggests that he has left the soap. He joked that at least they are not suggesting that he has died of a stroke. 

Fans Appreciate James Hooton!

The soap fans were happy. A soap viewer wrote in the comment that they don’t think that the writers will ever get rid of Sam, as he is a lovable character. Another wrote that they are happy as the soap wouldn’t be the same without Sam. Another added that Sam and Cain have been the anchors for Emmerdale for years. A soap viewer also said that unless ITV want a riot on their hands, they won’t get rid of him. 

Elsewhere recently, James Hooton shared a family update. He confirmed that his daughter was departing to travel. The soap actor shared that it was their last family breakfast before Lily’s journey. He added 78 nights away and countless countries to be visited.
