Jaye Griffiths, who plays the character of Celia Daniels in the soap, appeared in the village this year. She arrived as a neighbouring tenant farmer. Celia Daniels called on Moira Dingle to enquire if she was ready to rent two of her fields.
Moira immediately denied her offer. Meanwhile, she also fought with Paddy Kirk. He was attacked by one of her guard dogs, due to which Bear also insulted him. Her reaction to the injury showed her true personality.
Elsewhere in the recent episodes, Celia teamed up with Joe Tate to help them own the farm. However, later, Moira felt betrayed after learning the truth. Celia confessed that she had teamed up with Joe and apologised. After that, both women opened up about their families, and now they have a budding friendship.

Meanwhile, the soap star Jaye Griffiths opened up about her character on Metro. She said that it is a joy knowing where she is going to get to. Though she befriends Moira now, they can’t be friends in this universe. Jaye added that the worst is yet to come, as this is only the beginning.
Celia is single-minded, so no one can get in her way. She just wants everything on her terms; otherwise, everyone has to face the consequences. Jaye said that Celia is very different and deals with all the villagers differently.
She added that soap viewers like her, but they might not like her later due to her actions. Jaye Griffiths also opened up about Emmerdale. She said that it is a very welcoming place to work.
