Emmerdale star Ned Porteous, who plays Joe Tate, paid a tribute to his co-star, Claire King, who plays Kim Tate. Joe returned to the village last year after six years and created havoc in the village due to his illegal kidney transplant mission. His return to the soap has brought him together with Kim Tate as the two are sharing scenes now.

Ned Porteous said that Claire wasn’t in the show when he was there last time. He left the show when she came. He said that she is fantastic and he enjoyed her company. Ned called her a professional as she has been acting for a long time. He described her as humorous. The Emmerdale actor said she stays hopeful even after a daunting day on the set.

Ned Porteous Shares A Lovely Bond With His Fellow Stars!

Ned Porteous previously appeared in the village between 2017 and 2018. He reflected on the cold relationship between the two characters. He said he wasn’t sure if Joe would like Kim Tate, as there is some beef between them, but he respects her and knows Kim is a dominating lady.

She runs a shop, and he sees her more as a friend than an enemy. He added that in the clashes between the Tates and the Dingles, she wants to be on the same side as she is the head of the family.

Besides Claire King, Ned Porteous also opened up on his bond with fellow stars. He shared that he has a good bond with all actors and it is a pleasure to work with them, calling them lovely. He says that though there are serious scenes but the work environment is funny at times.
