Roxy Shahidi has become a household name, thanks to all the fame she has received for portraying Leyla Harding on Emmerdale. It is a role that she has essayed flawlessly for sixteen glorious years. However, the latest spoilers reveal that the actress is all set to bow out of the ITV drama after the decade and a half run.
As of now, the actress, the production, and the sources close to them have not revealed much details about what Leyla Harding’s exit storyline will be. However, it is being said that it will be meaty and hard-hitting. Reportedly, the character will meet its end in the upcoming storyline.
A source claims that the actress and her character will go out “in a blaze of glory.” However, the makers of the soap and the actress herself refrained from making any comments regarding the same. But it is being said that Roxy Shahidi now wants to try new things outside of Emmerdale. Even earlier this the actress participated in the 16th season of the reality show – Dancing on Ice.
Roxy had paired up with Sylvain Longchambon on the show, and the couple managed to win some decent scores as well. Unfortunately, they became the fourth couple to get eliminated from Dancing On Ice, even though the actress gave it her all. Roxy had even suffered a nasty injury on the show – a dislocated rib.

At the time, the soap star was heard telling the media that she felt sorry for herself because it was so hard and painful to even breathe. In fact, she admitted that she didn’t even know that such injuries could even happen until it happened to her. ” I was sat in the car, dropping my daughter off at school. I sneezed and like, all of my body went into spasm, I’ve never felt pain like it. And I literally, like, I couldn’t breathe for it felt like 10 minute,” she shared.
